Reptile, bikes, and Fridays with Maria!

We discovered...
A reptile shop!
We found a few hamsters too.
(Teacher's note: Sold as pets or meals for snakes, don't know!)
We got to play with a friendly snake.

More on leather

We are good at helping each other.
We're also good at respecting each others' interests
and sharing play space during free time.
This week, we learned more ways to manipulate and use leather.
Some hole-punching action.
The finished product!

We've had some nice weather!

We talked about leather as a fabric and practiced manipulating it.
We learned using a rotary cutter, an edge beveler,
and a few different kinds of curving knives.
Sitting in at some friendly people's fire

We had a nice visit at The Gladstone Hotel
We took the hundred-year old elevator to the very top of the hotel
and slowly made our way down, checking out every gallery space.
Twist Gallery on Queen had a photo show about cities.
We each wrote down what we observed in the photos,
what we liked, (and what we didn't like: city pollution!)
Our final stop (before park time) on our West Queen West walk
was Knit Cafe (not to be confused by "nit" cafe!).
We talked different kinds of fabric and share some juice.
